Volunteer Opportunities

 

Volunteering your time and talent is a great way to impact our community, meet people with similar interests, make friends, and have fun!  Here are some of the volunteer needs:

 

We are looking for volunteers who have the time and dedication to get involved with:

 

  • Legislative Watch and Update

LDA is looking for someone who can keep the organization updated on laws and policies that create opportunities for people with learning disabilities.

An overview of the important legislative issues concerning people with learning disabilities and how LDA is working to protect and strengthen these policies.

Bulletins

News and information on important federal legislative activities  from Washington  DC

 

Volunteer for:

  • Special projects

  • Events

  • Healthy Children's Project

  • Pro Bono Testing Project

  • Parent Support Groups

  • Board Members

Community members who have skills and experience in policy, planning, fundraising and marketing are welcome to apply as Board members. Board members serve a two-year volunteer term of office.  The Board meets  on the first Monday of the month from 5:00 to 7:00 (usually in Bellevue). Individuals with interest and specific skills to bring to the Board can start the process by contacting Cyd Imel, 425-882-0820.  cimel@ldawa.org
